Before retiring our ventures in the trucking & racing business and even now one of the things we like to do is visit the actual filming locations from different TV shows and movies as we hit the back roads of America.
On this page we will list the real address of these locations we visit during our trips.
First we will list TV locations, then we will list Movie locations. Keep checking back as we will be adding a lot!!!

Please note: Most likely the show you see was filmed in different locations than it might appear in the show. We will list the exterior locations and the interior if we know them. Many times these are different. Some are filmed on location while other times they are done on a studio backlot or sound stage. With the advent of digital technology sometimes it's all done on computer.
Most of what we like to visit are shows long past so a lot may have changed and not look the same as it once did.
One big question we get is why all the school themed visits? Jodi is involved in education so she enjoys those types of programs and likes to go visit the schools used for the shows.
ALSO- We have notes all over the place from our trips, so please excuse the mess as we match pictures with locations and post the addresses where we took them. We might make a goof here and there so don't forget google before heading out for yourself.

The Andy Griffith Show
Mayberry, Andy's house and most of the filming was done here- 40 acres studio was between Higuera St., Lucerne Ave and Jefferson Blvd. in Culver City, California.
It has since been all rebuilt and nothing remains to show a glimpse that Mayberry once stood here or Gone with the Wind was filmed here or the POW camp of Hogan's Heros. Not even Gomer Pyle USMC left a trace that they were once here. Sad loss, so many other shows gone with the wind.

Since beginning this page we have been pleasantly surprised to find many other people sharing the same love for filming locations as we do. It is sad to learn that so much of tv and film history past has been lost to progress. It is great to see the devotion that others have put into saving the history for lack of a better word, this hobby. Preserving the past and being able to visit an actual filming location gives many a unique connection and experience. As we learn of other great sites, we will share the links with you here.
